Happy Dance!!

The over one stitching is done and so is all of the regular stitching!!! *happy dance* This is my first finish of 2007. Next step is to make it into a flat fold *shudder* LOL. I have a week off from work in March but many of the days are already planned so not to sure if I can do it then...well enjoy the picture, also included are pictures of Ana. Tonight is my only night off in between my work days and I haven't slept yet so off to bed I go - if I can resist the urge to look through my stash and find my next project!

Fond Hearts - Blackbird Design
Stitched on 30ct Winter Frost by R&R Reproductions
Using all recommended WDW threads

The top two pictures are of Ana in her coat in the snow - I practically had to push her out the door to take these pictures.
This is Ana's "is she done yet?" look.
I never get a good picture of her actually sitting and looking at the camera so today after I took off her coat she decided to "pose" for me :-)

Some Stuff

I had planned to stitch all day but, of course, whenever I plan something it never goes in that direction. So instead of stitching I went to cut my hair. I had to fight with the lady to cut my hair shorter than she wanted to. I don't know what's wrong with these people sometime. My hair grows back very fast and whenever I go to get it chopped off their eyes get huge like saucers and ask me why...and you know what's funny? She ended up cutting it shorter than what I wanted LOL. Right after I went to buy a bigger TV for my bedroom - I'm upgrading from a 13" to a 23" but am still contemplating IF I should just get a 32" for my bedroom, it's only $200 more but I don't know if I have the room for it. I guess once the TV comes in I'll decide. I also went coat shopping for Ana, we got Kyle a coat last week and I just don't think it's fair for him to have one and not Ana. She doesn't go out for long periods of time like Kyle and really doesn't need one but I got it for her anyway. It's red and is trimmed in silver reflector, it looks very nice on her. I also got her a new leash and collar to match - I'll take a picture of her once I get home to my camera.

The over one stitching isn't as bad as I thought. It's going much quicker than I thought it would. I did get to stitch this morning before I left the house, but last night is when I made a real dent into the wording. I know I said last picture would be the last "progress" picture but I just have to share...I think progress pictures really help me out and give me that extra push I need to finish things. Sorry for the crappy picture but I had to scan it since I'm not home.

I also made a beaded scissor fob tonight :-) Annette made me one for Christmas and I loved it so much that I wanted another one hehe. The beads I got at AC Moore and the lobster claw clasp I got off of Ebay. It's too small to go onto my Gingher Scissors (it's 16mmx8mm) so I don't know what to do with it...do I give it away or do I buy a smaller pair of scissors?? I think it would look nice on the Dovo Ladybug scissor, no? The little charms I also got at AC Moore and they say Imagine, Live, Laugh.

Well I'm off to sleep for a little while. I've been having a hard time staying up at work so I'm trying to do something new with my sleep schedule so I can stay up at work again. TTYL :)

Lazy Weekend

I finally got two days to myself to sit around and do nothing. I sort of enjoyed it but at the same time I got antsy, maybe I'm one of those people that need to do something. I did go to Target today to buy some things that I thought I needed but when I got there I realized I don't need anything LOL. I did return my humdifier to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, the digital one that I bought the other days was just too complicated for me so I exchanged it for a manual one which is working just fine now.

I stitched for the most part of the day, I stopped to blog a little because I'm getting to the point where all that over 1 stitching comes into play and I hate that it takes so long to do so I'm procrastinating. Here's the last progress pic I offer...after this hopefully the next picture you see is of it finished :-)
I ordered a bunch of goodies from the market and am waiting impatiently for them to come in. Thankfully I ordered from DSL so my things should be here this week. I love Amy for that reason alone hehe. Too bad Monday is a holiday :-(
My cousin is here spending my lazy Sunday with me, we've seen two movies together and now we're listening to John Mayer. I love that I'm close with my cousins! There's always someone to hang out with at times. Well I'm off to go back to my stitching.

Happy (Late) Valentine's Day!

I just realized I didn't wish everyone a Happy V-Day yesterday - please forgive me! Well I didn't think my gathering would have been so nice but honestly, I think everyone had a good time. We ate and played pictionary which is always fun. First guests arrived at 6pm and the last one left at midnight. I was hoping it would have been over before then but it was fun so I didn't mind. Ana had a ball! With over 15 people here to pet her she was in Ana Heaven! I have pics of course and have put them in a slide show so ENJOY! Oh here are some single pics of Ana also - accidentally she matched the tablecloth which was nice. :-)
Ana with her V-Day outfit
Ana begging for whatever it is my dad is eating. You can also see how the kitchen/dining area looks before the decorations were added.

It sounds bad out there!

I woke up to crunching noise this morning...I was hoping it didn't get too bad because I'm having a small dinner gathering at my house tonight and if the weather is bad well all that's going to be here is me, my parents, Ana, and a lot of food!

I slept all day yesterday - we were suppose to watch The Departed on DVD last night but it ended up being the guys watching it while it watched me. I was so cold last night that I had Ana lay on top of me on the couch - literally! She got tired of it though and left me twice but when we went to bed guess who wanted to snuggle? I surprised I was able to take her weight while sleeping, she likes to believe she's a little lap dog but she's about 54lbs and is so oblivious to it.

I woke up early enough to do some last minute preperations but with this weather all I want to do is stay in bed and stitch. I may just lounge here for a little while longer, we'll see.

I had to put my Roots concert tickets on Ebay this morning, I can't make the show :-( So if you're from NYC or will be in NYC on Sunday March 11th, are reading this, and like the Roots check out the auction. I put them at a discount because I really don't want to lose all the money I spent on them - a little money I don't mind :-) TTFN and stay warm and safe!

An Update

I've been trying to stitch as much as I can, believe me I have but it seems like something always pops up. I had 4 days off last week and although I stitched I don't think I stitched enough. Yesterday was my only day off (this month's schedule sucks!) so today I'm busy running errands and then I *must* take a nap before going to work since I'm up so early. I wouldn't really need a nap if I'd be able to take my break at work but the last 2 nights they have been leaving only 2 nurses on the floor due to the census being too low and I wouldn't like to be left on the floor with 16 pts to my self so I wouldn't do it to anyone else...

Last night before I pulled out my stitching my cousin called to tell me my other cousin was in the ER so of course my stitching took a backseat and off we went to the ER. My cousin is ok - some kids tried to take his iPod and one of them punched him in the nose so they thought it was broken. I did stitch a little while in the waiting room but not as much as I would have had I been home. My plan to stitch once I got home was ruined since as soon as I got comfy in the bed to stitch I fell asleep hehe. Anyway enough of my complaining of not being able to stitch. I have to wash my hair so in that 90 minutes of waiting for it to dry enough so that I can go out I'll stitch :-) I have my next project lined up - I should stitch on Dollhouse next but this one is small enough where it won't take too much time away from DH. Did anyone see the picture of BNs new
Christmas House?!?!? I think it's toooooo adorable and I really don't "do" Christmas designs.

Anyway here's my progress on BBDs Fond Hearts

Maybe I can finish it in 2 weeks...my plans for it are to make it into flatfold BUT I'm going to try to make it myself ha!

I did it!

I've been wanting a star tattoo on my foot for the longest. Last week my cousin and I were suppose to on Sunday but we rescheduled for yesterday. While he was getting his I was chickening out LOL but I ended up doing it. I think my next tattoo will be a tiny stethescope but not by itself maybe incorporated into something bigger where you really have to look to see it. I was laughed at by my cousin when I told him but I think it's cute and it will some sort of meaning.

My cousin felt left out about not getting a tattoo yesterday so I made her one this morning with a Sharpee marker and just had to share LOL. Excuse my pale legs - I need some sun hehe.

I've been having some pretty good mail days since Friday, usually only bills come in for me. To start it off I got a pretty geat package from Emily (so glad to "meet" her online.) Stitchy/blogger friends are the greatest! She sent me the nicest things (pics below) I'm off for a couple of days and am going to try out the dog biscuits for Kyle, dunno if Ana will eat them. She's a little brat when it comes to treats. I'm afriad one of these days she'll only eat prime rib as a treat, lately she's started turning her nose up at hot dogs! Poor Kyle has such a sensitive tummy that the only treats he can get are dog biscuits, we gave him Doggie Vitamin Water (yes they make Vitamin Water for dogs) and it upset his tummy right afterwards, suprisingly Ana enjoyed it.

Next package came as a surprise. My favortie band of all time is Bloc Party. I love them A LOT. I preordered their CD (it comes out today) through this site and iTunes just in case the CD didn't come in on time - that's how much I love them. Well on Friday I looked out the window and a white box was sticking out of the mailbox. I didn't know what it was but when I opened it my Bloc Party CD was in it! So I got it a whole 4 days early haha!!! I feel so especial hehe :-) Needless to say I love it - it's different from Silent Alarm but I still love it. I can't wait to see them in March :-)

Friday was also the day to buy concert tickets. March will be concert month for me. My cousin turns the big 2-1 on the 11th so I figure us older cousins should take her out and make it special. Out of all birthday's I remember my 21st the most. I didn't go out drinking like other kids - there's nothing special about drinking when you come from a family that let you drink at a young age :-( But my other cousin took me to an expensive dress up restaurant where I ate weird food and then the next day we went gambling - I think for my cousin we're doing the drinking and gambling, should be fun for her. So hopefully March is a fun month!

Next up is the package from my V-Day Exchange partner in CSF. Cindy sent me this box filled to the brim with goodies :-) My cousin asked me yesterday to stitch something for his daughter and she sent the cutest Minnie Mouse pattern that I think will be good for her.
Now a little stitching update. When I went to get the tattoo I packed a new project. Something small and V-Dayish to start. I swear I'm never going to finish anything and all I'm going to do is have a bunch of WIPs if I keep starting new things LOL. Well anyway I'll show a picture of what I got done so far. It's Fond Hearts by Blackbird Designs. I didn't realize that there was over 1 stitching on this or else I probably wouldn't have started it but it doesn't look like much so maybe I'll get it done. I used my "This one I'm going to finish" needle magnet on it because I truly believe that I'll get it done :-)

Since stitching in public I've learned that a lot more people stitch than I thought did. Example - the gently giant of tattoo artist that I met yesterday stitched! He told me he tries every type of art form once and has stitched before. If you saw this guy you would probably feel very intimidate but he was such a nice funny person. I love people like that, makes me very glad that I don't judge a book by it's cover.

The last 3 days of work have been great too! My patients were just the greatest. They were all (for the most part) funny, nice, and needy but in a nice way which I don't mind. They were all light so it gave me time to give them that extra TLC that I like to give. If everyday of work could be like the last 3 days I wouldn't mind going to work. So I hope when I go back they are all still there and never get discharged LOL J/K. I know they're all probably gone with the exception of 2-3 but I hope the replacements are just as nice.

Ok so that's it's from me - this was a bit longish but I hope you enjoyed reading it and the pics! I'm off to shower and start my day. I plan on stitching for the next few days along with listening to Bloc Party, admiring my tattoo, and thinking of the next one to get! TTFN :-)

My Love Flat Fold

I went to my not so LNS today to buy some stuff for my V-Day exchange partner and look what they had for me. Isn't it pretty??? I was looking at it and it doesn't seem so hard to make BUT doesn't everything look easy until you actually try it? LOL Kelly says it looks nice but the little people look scary. I absolutely adore it :-) The fabric is actually grey but it shows up white-ish. Here are some other pictures from the angle.

In other news...I did some some stash shopping today and boughts lots of stuff. Atleast it felt like a lot of stuff LOL. Hopefully one day I can stitch like I use to when I was in school and I can make a dent in my stash. Until then I'm just collecting :-)

Well I'm going to bed now. I'm coming down with a cold and feel like crap. I'm trying to keep hydrated but I know I won't get better because I work the next 3 days so I can't rest. TTFN!

Second Room Done :)

*Yippee* I just finished the 2nd room in Dollhouse :) I was going to show an update pic earlier but realized I only had the window and some of the border so figured I should just stitch it and THEN show a pic, it's just much better that way!

I don't know if I should stitch some more on it or if I should go through some of my stash and start something new. I've been dying to start something new but now that the room is done I don't know LOL. I forgot how my rotation goes so I'll have to search my blog to find out. Do I go back to Sampler Farm or do I get to start something new? Regardless of what it is I don't think I'm going to follow it. Stitching is suppose to be fun and I shouldn't have to follow any "rules." I don't know how people do it but hats off to them. After I post this I'm going to get rid of the list on the sidebar, those are things I wanted to stitch then not now LOL.

The weekend was sort of nice. We saw OAR at Madison Square Garden yesterday. They always put on a good concert. It was ruined by some irresponsible drinkers though who ruined it for us responsible drinkers so they had to stop selling beer and drinks because of some people passing out, I love a buzz during concerts so I was a bit miffed! No pictures of the concert because my battery died and I had no time to charge it. It was better without a camera because I wasn't concentrating on taking pictures and recording. Next confirmed concert is Bloc Party *my all time fav* we're still looking for something before then but so far nothing.

I was suppose to go get a tattoo today with my cousin but it was rescheduled for next Monday. I guess it gives me more time to think of it and make sure it's what I want.

Well I'm going to start something new. TTFN!

Brain Age and The Party

This has to be the coolest game ever! When it first came out I was like who would want to play that game, but then I read that if you exercise the mind you delay the onset of dementia by a few years. I see what dementia can do to people everyday at work and that's one thing I don't want to put my family through if I can help it. So I started to do Su Doku puzzles again (even got my mom doing them - my dad says he trains his brain everyday so he doesn't need to do anything extra he's so stubborn!) and saw this game one day and decided to pick it up. I've been playing ever since; for like a week already! I've got everyone playing it also. It's fun and a great way to train your brain. If you have Nintendo DS I suggest you get it. Another interesting thing I read on Dementia is that studies show if you speak two languages everyday you delay the onset of Dementia by up to four years. So I guess I'll let my dad slide on not doing daily puzzles since he does speak English and Spanish daily.

My stitching has been suffering thanks to this game and of course I had the baby shower, which might I add the decorations were great! Everyone was giving my cousin and me so many compliments I think that if we got one more compliment our heads wouldn't fit through the door LOL. I have some pictures but everything looked so much better IRL. I also didn't take a picture of the center pieces (I'm kicking myself) but they were baskets shaped as cradles filled with white daisies and some other pink flower. They were really nice! We made a clothesline with real baby clothes and mini clothes pins. And we also made some chocolate lollipops in different baby paraphanalia shapes - I think that was the hardest since we've never ventured down the chocolate road before and the first batch wasn't the greatest but the rest looked great and everyone enjoyed it. Here are some pics of the party - like I said everything looked so much nicer IRL!

I'm off to bed - if I stitch tomorrow I'll update with a progress pic. I think I need to actually see some progress in order to kick start my stitching again. TTFN!

I have to laugh

I recently finished reading The Hidden Diary of Marie Antoinette in paperback and while looking for another book to read I noticed that I have another Marie Antoinette book in hardcover. Would you believe that it's the same exact book I just finished reading??? LOL I'm off on Wednesday and I think I'm going to the library to donate these books I have piled up because who knows what other book I have 2 of. I'm going to get ready for work now.

Ha! I've been tagged

I was reading Sharon's blog and reading 6 weird things about her and was thinking how cool would it be if someone tagged me and *poof* she tagged me LOL.

Ok so 6 weird things about moi...this is hard as I know I'm weird but what really makes me weird.

The rules: Each player of this game starts with the "6 weird things about you." People who get tagged need to write in their blog of 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names.

1. I write upside down and can't write any other way. My theory is that in school (I'm left handed) teachers would turn my page and put the pencil/pen in my right hand so that I would write with my right hand and I just switched the pencil/pen back but never the paper.

2. I like to eat Wendy's french fried dipped in a Wendy's Frosty - to me there is no other way to eat them.

3. I was deathly afraid of dogs until I got my first dog Kobe - one of the meanest, crankeist, and loudest dogs (everything that scared me) but I loved him because with me he was a snuggle bum and loved me back.

4. I consider myself not a cat person but I feed all the strays on my block and secretly wish I had a big HUGE FAT male cat that I could name Priscilla.

5. I make up little songs for Ana and have indept conversations with her about everything - there's the stretching song, the yawning song, the let's eat song, the we're eating song, the we're done eating song, and the sleeping song - she, at least, thinks it's weird LOL. She also likes to watch Bill O'Riely but I guess that makes her weird not me LOL.

6. I sing Halloween songs year round and wish I could dress in a costume all the time!!!!!

Not too weird I think now the 6 people I tag are *drumroll please*

Annette of My Life and Stitches
Eileen of Her Drama-ness
Cheryl of The Life of Bezza Chezza
Emily of The Confessions of an Infomaniac
Cindy of Cindy's Stitching Korner
Meari of Meari's Musings

I don't know how to include the link but if you're interested in visiting these blogs the links are in my sidebar. Now I have to shower! TTYL :)

Just a Question

I have some books that I'd like to donate - do any of my readers know where I can take them? I'm thinking of the library but maybe there's somewhere else I can take them ya know??

No stitching since Saturday, my cousin's baby shower is this Sunday and I have to get on the ball with the last minute things that have to be done. I usually mind when it comes to things like this but I think I must really like my cousin because I'm actually looking forward to doing this for her :-) The only thing I don't look forward to is seeing someone on Sunday - she's such an a**hole. She called herself giving my other cousin some "school" advice and ended up dissing nurses (my cousin is thinking of becoming one) want to know something funny? She's a RN herself *sigh* I swear some people in my family are just ignorant!

Well I'm going to read a little before I go to bed, I'm thinking the faster I read these books I have (and I think I have a lot) the quicker I can get them out of here, donate them and buy new ones haha! :-) Good Night!!!

Not Bad

Yesterday wasn't as bad as I thought. I guess what I needed was a nap and some yummies in my tummy's LOL. I didn't hit bad traffic (my uncle showed me a different route to get home) and ummm I still got to stitch at night.

I thought I'd stitch today but I woke up at 2pm and have been on this computer since then. Maybe after this post I'll stitch on Dollhouse - I'm so happy with it at this moment that I may try to stitch a 3rd room before moving on in my rotation. Here's an update:
Well I'm off for today, I'm going to watch Judge Mathis on Tivo and stitch for a while then get ready for work. TTFN :)

P.S. - Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who wants an actual day off from everything!

Vent!

I guess the word "no" has escaped my vocabulary again. I don't know why it's so hard for me to tell people no. I can write it, I can think it, I can even use it in a sentence, but when the time comes for me to actually use it - I can't.

I'm so angry right now that it's scary - I want to cry. Today I took my cousin to take her road test. She calls me at 6:50am so I can take her to practice before the test. I went to bed at like 4:30am - I figure I'll just come home afterwards and go to sleep and veg for the rest of the day since it's my last day off before going to work tomorrow so I didn't mind the early call. Then she calls me back, it seems that her dad has surgery planned for today and can't take the train home afterwards and needs someone to go get him. Since he has to be there early I figure he'll get out early and I'll be home maybe by 1pm tops. I agree to do it, but after agreeing I instantly regret it. There is no way I am going to be home by 1pm! a)I have to drive into the city b) it's freaking surgery! I don't care if it's same day or not anything can happen. Plus who am I to say how long his recovery time will be? This is my area of expertise (or atleast it's suppose to be) to know better than that.

Fast forward to now. They made him go in early but really he isn't scheduled to go in until 2pm. This is when I get upset at myself! Now I have to drive into the city at 3pm in city traffic to go get him. I seriously want to cry, like seriously. I'm tired and I can't go to sleep now because I have to wash my hair (since I can't do it later on and it looks like a bird's nest) My entire day is ruined, I just remembered I was suppose to go shopping for my mother yesterday and since I had nothing major planned for today I decided to leave it for today which means no sleep when I get back. I'm going to have a major headache after sitting in traffic. I took out all of my frustrations on Kelly and my other cousin and feel like shit now for doing so. AND (!) if he knew about this surgery weeks ago why the F did he wait until the last minute (and I mean the last minute) to freaking ask me to go get him. I mean who thinks they can take the train home after getting done what he's getting done? He has to stay home for atleast 3 weeks from work and he's just gonna hop on the train afterwards?!?! I'm pretty sure the doctor explained to him before hand what type of transportation he'd need. I want to cry - I want to be alone and now I can't. I don't care if I sound selfish or bratty it's my day off and I should be able to do whatever I want to do especially on my last day off. My dad has reason sometimes, had this been us we would have had everything done last week. I don't know why my mother's family is so last minute with everything - I WANT TO SCREAM!!!!

Want to know the icing on the cake? No where knows where this place is at. They all say it's at my hospital. When they give me the addresses (because so far I have 4) I tell them that's not my hospital and they tell me it is. Hmmm don't you think I know where I work. Then two of the addresses are on the west side and the other two are on the east side.

On a happy note (because there is happiness in everything) Ana just came to me to show me how easy life can be and to not sweat it. I love how she just hops on my bed with her toys and sorts of chews on them like everything is ok. Thanks Ana for making me smile.

On a stitching note - there will obviously be no stitching today :-( I did get to a point yesterday on Dollhouse where I actually felt like I wasn't stitching forever and getting nowhere. I'll show a pic later. It's funny because I didn't get far at all but just getting one thing done was so ground breaking for me that I want to keep on stitching on it. K I'm going to wash my hair. TTFN

What happened to Winter?

It's 69 degrees here and all I have is winter clothes in my closet so I have no idea what I'm going to wear today. With this crazy weather I wouldn't be surprised if it snowed tomorrow, although they say it will be 51 degrees tomorrow. I sort of want to go to the park to sit and stitch but at the same time I don't.

I haven't made any major updates with my quilting and stitching but yesterday I spent the entire day working on my quilt blocks and made a breakthrough! I managed to get half of them done and now I need to cut the fabric and piece the pieces together for the other half which is something I may do today. I bought a rolling sewing machine case (I'm such a dweeb) so I may go over to Kelly's house to do this. His kitchen counter is the perfect size and height to cut fabric and he's been coming over here the pass few days that I'm pretty sure he'd like to have a day at home today.

I'll show a picture of what I'm stitching just for the hell of it but I haven't gotten far with it. I'm working on the border for the first room that I stitched on Dollhouse and then I can move on to the next room which I haven't decided on which to stitch next. I have a choice of 4 and think I may end up working on one of the attic rooms but who knows.

I bought this really cute book last night to make plush animals. It's called Plush-O-Rama Curious Creatures for Immature Adults hehe. Once I get over my fear of actually sewing something that requires me to cut fabric in a weird shape I'll try one.

Well I'm off to get dressed. Hope the weather is normal for you guys and not crazy like it is here. TTFN!

Little Miss Sunshine

OMG - this has to be the funniest movie ever - next to Talladega Nights the Ballad of Ricky Bobby that is. I loved it and if you haven't seen it yet, go buy the DVD and watch it!

And in other non stitching related news - Sophie Kinsella is coming out with a new Shopaholic book *high school girl scream* I just loved her other Shopaholic books that I can't wait to get my hands on this new one. This is something that if you don't know anything about you should famialarize yourself with. Go out and buy the books STAT! hehe

Ok that's all I'll go back to what I was doing, which is watching The Office on Tivo.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I know I'm a little early but I work tonight and won't be able to post well wishes until Wednesday and I don't want to start the year late - it's bad luck according to my mum. I thought I'd have a finish before the year was over but due to family having time off from work/school I've been spending time with them. I HAVE A FINISH!!!! Last finish of the year is Homespun Elegance Delivering Fleurs!! I'm so happy *happy dance* Here's a picture...

I don't have the buttons and stuff but the stitching is done! Maybe I'll go to my not so LNS on Friday to get the goods!

Well hope everyone has a Fantabulous New Year's! I'll be counting down the new year's with my co-worker and whatever patients are alert enough to join us. I'm off to try to stitch! Hopefully the night at work will be quiet :)

Merry Christmas

Hope everyone is have a great day! So far I'm cranky but I blame it on the lack of sleep I got today, once I get a nap I'll be my cheery self again :)

Instead of singing Christmas songs like everyone else - I found myself singing "This is Halloween" this morning when Kelly told the conceirge in his building happy holidays, he laughed at me when he heard me. I also sang the song that Jack Skellington sang when he told the town about Santi Claws - I love the way he makes his hands. I think Halloween is such a better holiday LOL. Next year I'm going to try and make it the new Christmas and give out my presents then - it may be less stressful too, which could help with my psoriasis. Oh btw the new thing I have is psoriasis - in my scalp of all places! Three weeks ago I thought I just had really bad dandruff. When it started to become so bad that I'd wake up itching I knew I had to go to the doctor and he comfirmed I had psoriasis. Now I'm putting drops in my head every night/morning and washing my hair with smelly grease/tar smelling shampoo *sigh* I just hope this clears up. I told Kelly I wish I had a nice disease. So far what I have makes me feel ugly (I have vitiligo too on my face.)

Anyhoo, enough of that, the last 2 nights at work were HEAVEN!!! I thank God for the wonderful gift :-) I lounged, I played video games, I stitched, I went online LOL Last night was a little busier but not as busy as it usually can get. I had a patient in alcohol withdrawal (such a nice person!) and I stayed in the room while the sedative took effect so the hallucinations would go away. Luckily I had the time to stay or else who knows what could have happened.

I won't post an update pic of DF - I'm close to being done (thanks to my easy work nights) so I'll post a picture when I'm done.

Well that's all for tonight - I'm going to sleep. Hopefully I'll wake up early enough go over to Kelly's in the morning. If I wake up too late I get lazy and never make it out of here on time. I'll try to post more later on. I have gifts to look through and will try to share. Merry Christmas!

An Update

I've been stitching on Delivering Fleurs although I haven't been stitching as much as I would like. I finished reading The Memory's Keeper Daughter and started this other book that's hard to put down called Love and Ghost Letters. I've managed to get totally involved in this book and it's hard to believe that I'm only up to page 70 LOL. Here's a picture of how far I've gotten on DF. I'm almost there just half of the big flower, and other small flower and the cart and I'm done! Then it's back to either Dollhouse or Sampler Farm - I forget which one I worked on last.
I've finally decorated (half-ass though) the house for Christmas, only because I wrapped my gifts and wanted something to put them under. We only have a small tree (Kobe knocked out big one down when he was a puppy and we haven't gotten a big tree since.) Here's my teeny tree - I use to have a teeny nativity set but couldn't find it.
This is my "big" tree with my gifts under it. I'm still missing 2 gifts *sigh* I have to get a GC for my nephew (which I'll do tonight at Duane Reade) and I'm hoping that the Nintendo DS I got for my younger nephew comes in tomorrow (mail came in today and it's still not here.) My gifts are on the small scale this year but I hope they're enjoyed!
Finally, I went to my not so LNS to pick up BC's Yule in it's frame. The turn around time on this one was fast and I'm sort of grateful because I can use it this year as part of my decorations :) I must have not cut all the stray threads so you can see one pretty bad by the Y :( I'm trying not to concentrate on it - other than that everything looks ok.
Now I'm going to sleep since I work tonight and tomorrow night. I've been waking up early again on my days off (430am) and don't think I'll be able to work tonight without taking a nap before work. TTFN! I just realized I got stash in the mail so I'm going to play with that first before taking a nap!
